PSYCH 2 Statistical Methods for Psychology & Social Science

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Intermediate Algebra or appropriate placement as determined by the college's multiple measures assessment process 
Advisories: PSYCH 1  with a grade of "C" or better.
This course is an introduction to the basic statistical methods and analyses commonly used in sociological research. Topics include: descriptive and inferential statistics usually include levels and types of measurement; measures of central tendency and dispersion; normal, t, and chi-square distributions; probability and hypothesis testing; correlation and regression. Applications of statistical software to sociology and/or other social science data required.
