CHEM 50SS Special Studies: General Chemistry

Units: 1-2
Prerequisites: CHEM 1A General Chemistry with a grade of “B” or better.
Limitations on Enrollment: A student must have completed a minimum of 12 units at the District and have a 2.5 minimum overall grade point average within the course discipline. In addition, an independent study contract must be signed by the student, instructor of record, and dean who will certify the student is qualified for enrollment.
This course is designed to allow a qualified student to do advanced work in the field of general chemistry. The course includes research, directed reading, field work, or other advanced study which must be arranged and approved by the instructor and the Dean before enrolling in the course. (CSU)
