CSP 43A Database Design and Implementation Using Oracle Units: 3 Prerequisites: CS 11 Fundamentals of Computer Science or CSA 20 Computer Information Systems Applications with a grade of “C” or better. This course is an introduction to the design and implementation of a database using the Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). The database design and conceptual modeling is accomplished by analyzing various business scenarios and creating a data model, a conceptual representation of an organization’s information. By analyzing the detailed data requirements of each operating unit and creating conceptual models, students learn how large, complex and dynamic organizations operate. The implementation of the database design will be accomplished by using SQL, the industry-standard database programming language, and Oracle RDBMS. (CSU)
