E M 50SS Special Studies: Electron Microscopy

Prerequisites: E M 82B Advanced Techniques in Biological Electron Microscopy or E M 83M Physical Electron Microscopy Laboratory with a grade of “C” or better.
Limitations on Enrollment: A student must have completed a minimum of 12 units at the District and have a 2.5 minimum overall grade point average within the course discipline. In addition, an independent study contract must be signed by the student, instructor of record, and dean who will certify the student is qualified for enrollment.
This course is designed to allow the qualified student to do advanced work in electron microscopy, either in the biological or metallurgical field. The course includes research, directed reading, field work, or other advanced study which must be arranged and approved by the instructor and the dean before enrolling in the course.
