ASCI 67 Swine Science Units: 3 Advisories: ASCI 10 and ASCI 10L each with a grade of “C” or better. This course will study the principles and practices of purebred and commercial pork production throughout California, the United States and the world. Emphasis will be on the importance of breeds, breeding principles, selection, nutrition, environmental management, health, marketing and record keeping to ensure scientifically-based management decisions and consumer product acceptance.
