ANTHR 50SS Special Studies: Anthropology Units: 1-2 Hours: 54 -108 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade Prerequisites: ANTHR 1 Cultural Anthropology , ANTHR 2 Biological Anthropology , or ANTHR 10 Introduction to Archaeology with a grade of “B” or better. Limitations on Enrollment: A student must have completed a minimum of 12 units at the District and have a 2.5 minimum overall grade point average within the course discipline. In addition, an independent study contract must be signed by the student, instructor of record, and dean who will certify the student is qualified for enrollment. This course is designed to allow the qualified student to do advanced work in Anthropology. The course includes research, directed reading, field work, or other advanced study which must be arranged and approved by the instructor and the Dean before enrolling in the course. (CSU)
