PHYSC 2A General Physics Units: 4 Hours: 54 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass General Education: Delta Area 2; CSU Area B1; IGETC 5A Prerequisites: MATH 38B Precalculus II or MATH 39 Precalculus with a grade of “C” or better. This course is intended for students not majoring in physics or engineering but needing a one-year course in physics as a requirement for their major program. The course is part of a two-semester sequence. Core topics include: kinematics, dynamics, work and energy, momentum, fluids, and simple harmonic motion. (HBCU, UC, CSU, C-ID PHYS 105, C-ID PHYS 100S with both PHSYC 2A and PHYSC 2B )
