MCOM 113 Introduction to Public Relations

This noncredit course provides an introduction to the principles of public relations. Students will learn about the four-step strategic public relations process and have an opportunity to work with a client on a public relations plan. Public relations practitioners must be effective communicators who manage relationships between organizations and their stakeholders. Therefore, this course will offer discussions about the practice, theory, history, and industry specializations, all while executing steps of the strategic planning process such as message development and distribution. Noncredit courses may be repeated.
