Prerequisites: Successful completion of Intermediate Algebra or appropriate placement as determined by the multiple measures assessment process.
This is part I of a preparatory course for Calculus. In this course, emphasis is placed on the algebraic skills and function knowledge necessary for success in Calculus. Topics include absolute value, linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, radical, exponential and logarithmic equations, functions and their applications. This course includes lab time to provide just-in-time review of prerequisite skills, extra content instruction, and active learning opportunities to support student learning. Graphing calculators may be required. (UC, CSU)
