AJ 196B Basic Public Safety Dispatcher Module II

Prerequisites: AJ 196A Basic Public Safety Dispatcher Module I with a grade of “P” or better.
This is the second of two noncredit courses which satisfy the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requirement for entry-level public safety dispatchers who have no prior training or limited experience. This course will introduce students to radio technology/procedures, critical incidents, wellness management, mental health conditions and intellectual/developmental disabilities awareness, human trafficking, terrorism/extremist group awareness, cultural diversity, hate crimes, and gang awareness. Noncredit courses may be repeated.
