This course is designed as a technical and experimental introduction to Organic Chemistry for the student intending to major in premedicine, predental, pharmacy, chemistry, biology, and chemical engineering. Each of these requires a rigorous understanding of the fundamental principles of organic chemistry, including the nomenclature, reactions and reaction mechanisms of both aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons plus those of functional group compounds.(UC, CSU, HBCU, C-ID CHEM 150, CHEM 12A + 12B = C-ID CHEM 160S)
