ECE 37 Administration I: Programs in Early Childhood Education Units: 3 Hours: 54 hours LEC Grade Options: Letter Grade Term Typically Offered: Every fall term Prerequisites: ECE 21 Child and Adolescent Development and ECE 31A Principles and Practices of Teaching Young Children with a grade of “C” or better. Advisories: ECE 31B and ECE 32A with a grade of “C” or better. This course is an introduction to the administration of early childhood programs. Program types, budget, management, regulations, laws, development and implementation of policies and procedures are covered. Administrative tools, philosophies, and techniques needed to organize, open, and operate an early care and education program are examined. (CSU)
