CSP 25 Assembly Language Programming Units: 4 Hours: 54 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB Grade Options: Letter Grade Term Typically Offered: Every term Prerequisites: CSP 26A Java Programming I or CSP 31A C++ Programming I each with a grade of “C” or better. This course introduces students to the organization and behavior of real computer systems at the assembly language level. The mapping of statements and constructs in a high-level language onto sequences of machine instructions is studied, as well as the internal representation of simple data types and structures. Numerical computation is examined, noting the various data representation errors and potential procedural errors. (UC, CSU, C-ID COMP 142)
