ELEC 41 Fire Alarm Systems

Units: 2
Hours: 18 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB
Grade Options: Letter Grade
Term Typically Offered: Every spring term
Prerequisites: ELEC 29B Fundamentals of Electricity II  or ELEC 30 Fundamentals of Electricity  or ELECT 11 AC and DC Network Analysis  or ELECT 12 Solid State Devices  with a grade of “C” or better.
This course is an introduction to fire alarm systems. Different types of alarm systems will be stressed along with the codes and standards for commercial and residential fire alarm applications. (HBCU, CSU)
