This course is offered to the student interested in exploring and identifying the changes and their effects in adapting literature for film. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of short stories, novels, and plays; the literary elements that must, by necessity, be addressed differently for the screen; the choices made in adaptations; and evaluating the results in film adaptations.
