Prerequisites: BIOL 31 Human Anatomy, BIOL 32 Human Physiology, and H S 36 Medical Terminology and Speech with a grade of “C” or better; ENGL C1000 Academic Reading and Writing, ENGL C1000E Academic Reading and Writing, ENGL C1001 Critical Thinking and Writing or ENGL C1002 Introduction to Literature with a grade of “C” or better; PSYC C1000 Introduction to Psychology or SOCIO 1A Introduction to Sociology with a grade of “C” or better; STAT C1000 Introduction to Statistics, STAT C1000E Introduction to Statistics, MATH 37 College Algebra, or PSYC 2 Statistical Methods for Psychology & Social Science with a grade of “C” or better.
This is a survey course designed to provide information about a variety of careers in radiologic technology (RadTech). This course will assist the student with career planning and development in the field of RadTech. This course also introduces students to the necessary knowledge, attitudes, and skills before completing a RadTech Program. This course assists the student to identify strengths or weaknesses affecting admission into the RadTech profession. Job functions, education, training, and employment opportunities are also included in this course. Units earned in this course do not count toward the associate degree.
