This noncredit course provides an introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) for administrative professionals. Emphasis is placed on basic concepts of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), a field of AI that supports content creation, idea generation, and other administrative tasks. Instruction combines foundational knowledge with practical applications. The GenAI skills taught in the course can be applied in administrative and professional positions across various employment sectors to enhance efficiency, productivity, and communication in the workplace. Learners will explore AI ethical considerations, best practices, and emerging trends that are shaping the future of the AI workplace. Emphasis is placed on a hands-on approach with GenAI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and other current GenAI applications commonly integrated into administrative and professional environments. No prior knowledge of AI is required. Noncredit courses may be repeated.
