DANCE 037B West African Dance II

Units: 2
Prerequisites: DANCE 037A West African Dance I  with a grade of “C” or better.
This course is a continuation to West African dance. It reviews and expands the concept of West African dance and culture, history, value systems and impact on the society. Students will explore the connection of dance and religion. Emphasis is also placed on polyrhythmic movements, body control, conditioning. (CSU, UC)
