AJ 30 Critical Issues in the Justice System Units: 3 AJ 21 Criminal Justice in Society with a grade of “C” or better. This course focuses on critical issues in the criminal justice system. It is designed to bring professional practitioners and qualified experts into the classroom to interact with students. The intent of the course is to provide an arena for the student to develop critical thinking skills and problem solving skills toward critical issues in the justice system. Topics include community policing, the courts, decriminalization of drugs, plea bargaining, gangs profiling, terrorism, and domestic violence. (CSU)
