Winery Event Coordinator Certificate of Achievement

Winery Event Coordinators work with a winery property by creating, selling, planning, managing, promoting and executing weddings, concerts, release/club parties, industry tastings and more. This is a very exciting and diverse career. Upon successful completion of the Winery Event Coordinator certificate, students will have experience participating in the organization and execution of an event which may include a wine tasting or catering at a winery. Coursework will provide understanding how to create profitable events through proper planning, targeted marketing and cost management. This will prepare the student for an entry level position in the Winery Events Industry.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  1. Identify events to promote sales and public relations for wineries.
  2. Identify the steps needed to produce a special event for a winery including, weddings, wine release/pick up events, wine maker dinners, trade and public tastings.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to prepare a post event cost analysis as well as a profit and loss statement for a particular event, enabling the event coordinator to provide data on the viability of an event.
