History, AA-TThe Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T) degree in History is designed specifically for students desiring to transfer to the CSU with a major in History. The student will develop a strong base of knowledge and skills that will serve as a foundation for further study of History. The skills developed in history courses include historical research and writing, the critical analysis of primary and secondary sources, the ability to differentiate between different historical interpretations of the same event, and the ability to communicate historical matter orally. Students are encouraged to see a counselor for assistance in developing an educational plan. Students desiring to transfer outside of the CSU system should see a counselor to develop an educational plan that will identify the lower division major preparation and general education coursework that corresponds to the intended major and specific transfer institution.
