Welding Technology Certificate of Achievement

Upon successful completion of the Welding certificate, the student demonstrates skills, knowledge, and training for employment in entry-level positions including industrial occupations in metal shops, all maintenance positions, sheet metal and metal fabrication shops, and many apprenticeship programs.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate basic knowledge in the interpretation of blueprints and drawings.
  2. Demonstrate process proficiency in Oxy/Acetylene (O/A), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) processes.
  3. Demonstrate safety knowledge specific to Oxy/Acetylene (O/A), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) processes.
