Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) Certificate of AchievementThe student successfully completing the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) - Certificate of Achievement will acquire skills to qualify for entry-level employment in industries such as food processing, aerospace, pipefitting, motorsports/autobody, and others that require the joining of alloys with concern for cleanliness and integrity on thick-to-thin materials. The student will be proficient in the setup/maintenance of the required equipment for the GTAW process, able to identify proper electrodes/fillers/shielding gases for joining a given material type and thickness, operate the required equipment in a safe and efficient manner, display significant manipulatory skills in multiple weld positions and will possess sufficient understanding of proper layout and measuring procedures. In addition, the student will be able to describe and demonstrate important employability skills such as proper work ethic, team building, and interpersonal communication practices and their importance in the workplace.
