Stagecraft Certificate of Achievement

Upon completion of the Stagecraft Certificate of Achievement, the student will demonstrate skills, knowledge, and training necessary for entry-level employment in the field of stagecraft. Specific job titles include stagehand, scenic carpenter, lighting technician, scenic artist, costume stitcher, and dresser. The student will demonstrate the ability to follow industry standard practices in the areas of scenery, lighting, costume, and/or sound technology for use in live theatrical performance.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Exhibit professional behavior and work ethic.
2. Successfully perform production stage crew duties for live theatrical productions.
3. Perform critical analysis of production documents and play scripts for the completion of theatrical production elements.
4. Successfully follow industry practices in stagecraft.
