Upon successful completion of the Automotive Performance and Data Collecting Certificate of Achievement, the student demonstrates knowledge of the skills necessary to diagnose, service, data record, evaluate, and perform repairs on cars, SUVs, and light duty trucks. The student demonstrates competence in the following areas: advanced engine rebuilding, electrical/electronic, data-logging, engine performance, and dynamo meter testing. The student can pursue career opportunities in independent and specialized shops. This automotive training program is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) in association with the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

Complete tasks required in the areas of power-performance, engine rebuilding, and blueprinting.

Perform the tasks required for employment as an automotive machinist.

Demonstrate mastery level understanding of manufacture/aftermarket specification, Shop-Key repair manual, and automotive repair procedures.

Comply with personal and environmental safety practices associated with clothing, eye protection, hand tools, power equipment, proper ventilation, and the handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals/materials in accordance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulation.
