The Logistics and Transportation Associate in Science degree is designed to develop a strong base of knowledge and skills that will serve as a foundation for careers such as Transportation and Material-Moving Machines Supervisor, Vehicle Operator, Cargo and Freight Agent, Emergency Services Dispatcher, Logistics Hub Supervisor, and Transportation Safety Administrator.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a strong base of knowledge and skills that will serve as a foundation for the pursuit of a career within the industry.
- Demonstrate knowledge in the areas of transportation and distribution industries including the modes, means, regulations, documentation, and rates of the relevant transportation system, transportation of hazardous materials; physical distribution and warehousing; and details relevant to importing and exporting of goods.
- Demonstrate knowledge of computer hardware and software at a beginning level.
