Program Pathway

Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager, AS



Upon successful completion of the Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager Associate in Science degree, students demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge for supervisory and management roles in administrative and management support professions. Graduates are prepared for positions such as Administrative Manager, Administrative Professional, Health Service Manager, First-Line Supervisor, Administrative Executive, and Office Manager. The program emphasizes a broad range of intermediate to advanced office software skills and administrative management practices requiring high-level knowledge and skills, ethical judgment, critical thinking, and strong business communication. The associate’s degree is level 4 (of 4) in the Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager career pathway. The Administrative Executive Professional/Office Manager Associate in Science Degree meets the minimum unit requirements of general education coursework for students transferring to the California State University (CSU) system.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  1. Apply office management principles to design a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for a workplace policy or onboarding procedure. The work sample will be a written, verbal, or video that demonstrates business communication principles aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  2. Apply and demonstrate business document formatting principles by creating a professional portfolio that contains correctly formatted office management documents and messages, such as employee/manager formal memoranda, top and mid-level strategic planning meeting emails, and/or marketing/outreach social media content.
