The Electronics Technology Certificate of Achievement provides students with a solid foundation in electronics and industrial technology through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on training. Designed to align with current industry needs, the program equips students with the technical skills required for entry-level employment in various electronics fields. This foundational certificate also serves as a stepping stone for further specialization in areas such as Automation Technology and Manufacturing Technology. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared for careers in consumer and industrial electronics, as well as specialized roles involving digital troubleshooting. Graduates may also choose to pursue advanced certificates in Automation or Manufacturing Technology.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Identify electronic components and understand their purpose in an electronic circuit.
- Demonstrate skills to operate electronic test equipment, diagnose malfunctions and electronic circuits, isolate and replace defective components, and disassemble and reassemble complex electronic chassis.
