CS 55 Discrete Structures for Computer Science Units: 3 Prerequisites: CSP 31A C++ Programming I or CSP 26A Java Programming with a grade of “C” or better. Advisories: MATH 1 , MATH 38A , or MATH 39 with a grade of “C” or better. This course is an introduction to the discrete structures used in Computer Science with an emphasis on their applications. Topics covered include: functions, relations and sets; basic logic; proof techniques; basics of counting; graphs and trees; and discrete probability. (UC, CSU, C-ID COMP 152)
