DANCE 34B Social Dance II

Prerequisites: DANCE 34A with a grade of “C” or better.
This is a beginner Social Dance course that focuses on the social components and movement patterns. This course continues to investigate indigenous, ethnic, and culturally-derived movement aesthetics in various dance forms (Latin, Caribbean, American, Asian and Pacific Islander as well as others accessible for study. Field trip may be required. The historical and sociological perspectives will also be examined. (HBCU, UC, CSU)
