BIOL 14 Practicing Modern Biology

Prerequisites: MATH 90 Beginning Algebra with a grade of “C” or better or qualifying placement.
Advisories: MATH 92S with a grade of “C” or better.
This is an introduction to biology, with special relevance to students interested in taking further course work in biology or related disciplines, including the allied health sciences. In addition to an introduction to the broad field of biology, it includes a strong emphasis on cell and molecular biology, as well as experimental methodologies and techniques. (UC, CSU)
