BIOL 12 Natural History of California Units: 3 Advisories: Ability to read at the 12th grade level. This course is an introduction to the plants and animals of California with emphasis on the plant communities and wildlife of the Central Valley, the coast ranges, and the Sierra Nevada. Ecologically oriented, the course probes ways in which plants and animals are adapted to their environment. Present and historical human environmental relationships will be investigated as well. A field trip is required. (CSU)
