Units: 3 Prerequisites: CDEV 21 Child and Adolescent Development or FCS 19 Human Development or H S 19 Human Development each with a grade of “C” or better. This course introduces the variations in development of children with special needs ages birth through eight and the resulting impact on families. It includes an overview of historical and societal influences, laws relating to children with special needs, and the identification and referral process. (CSU)
