CHEM 1A General Chemistry

Prerequisites: CHEM 3A Introduction to Chemistry or one year high school chemistry with a grade of “C” or better, and MATH 92S Intermediate Algebra (STEM), high school intermediate algebra, or a higher level math course with a grade of “C” or better.
Advisories: Ability to read at the 12th grade level.
This course is designed as a technical introduction to chemistry for the student intending to major in chemistry, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and other science oriented careers which require a rigorous understanding of the fundamental principles of chemistry.
