ITAL 1 Elementary Italian I

This course is an introduction to the Italian language and the cultures of the regions of Italy. Emphasis is placed on communication skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and cultural understanding (behaviors, institutions, perspectives, and artistic manifestations). Students will interact with authentic language in a cultural context. The course affords opportunities for cross-linguistic and cross-cultural comparisons. (UC, CSU)
