In addition, students are strongly advised to enroll concurrently in the ESL listening/speaking course of the appropriate level (ESL 9080, ESL 9083, or ESL 9086) based on the guided self-placement tool and multiple measures.
This noncredit course develops the student’s understanding and use of academic English in preparation for employment or for beginning a vocational or academic program. It focuses on grammar and sentence structure, low-intermediate level vocabulary and paragraph writing. Noncredit courses may be repeated.
